Dear friends,
while I'm struggling with a cold and trying not to let myself be too much dragged down by the falling prices, one thing gives me a lot of strength and confidence at the moment: It's the acceptance I'm experiencing for my art on superrare.co at the moment.
I've never sold so much art in such a short time before, so it's no wonder I'm motivated to create a lot of new digital glitch artworks. In this post I would like to show you some of my current works, which you will surely find on my SuperRare profile soon.

während ich mit einer Erkältung kämpfe und versuche, mich nicht allzusehr von den sinkenden Kursen herunterziehen zu lassen, gibt mir im Moment eine Sache ziemlich viel Kraft und Zuversicht: Und zwar ist das die Akzeptanz, die ich zur Zeit auf superrare.co für meine Kunst erfahre.
Ich habe bisher noch nie soviel Kunst in so kurzer Zeit verkauft und daher ist es auch kein Wunder, dass ich nun sehr motiviert bin, viele neue digitale Glitch-Kunstwerke zu erstellen. In diesem Beitrag möchte ich euch daher ein paar meiner aktuellen Werke zeigen, die ihr mit Sicherheit auch bald auf meinem SuperRare Profil finden könnt.

I also discovered a great website, where you can find tons of tutorials and infos about glitch-art. It's called glitchet.com. I even installed Processing, "a language for learning how to code within the context of the visual arts", after walking through some tutorials.

Nachdem ich mir einige Tutorials angesehen habe, habe ich sogar Processing installiert, "eine Programmiersprache zum Programmieren lernen im Kontext bildender Kunst".

GAN Breeder
Last, but not least, I played around with Ganbreeder by Joel Simon.
Ganbreeder is a collaborative art tool for discovering images. Images are 'bred' by having children, mixing with other images and being shared via their URL. This is an experiment in using breeding + sharing as methods of exploring high complexity spaces.

Zu guter Letzt habe ich mit dem Ganbreeder von Joel Simon herumgespielt.
Ganbreeder ist ein kollaboratives Kunstwerkzeug zur Entdeckung von Bildern. Bilder werden ausgebrütet, indem sie Kinder haben, sich mit anderen Bildern vermischen und über ihre URL geteilt werde. Dies ist ein Experiment zur Verwendung von Aufzucht + Teilen als Methoden zur Erforschung von Räumen mit hoher Komplexität.
Here is a short explanation about GANs:
Generative adversarial networks (GANs) are a class of artificial intelligence algorithms used in unsupervised machine learning, implemented by a system of two neural networks contesting with each other in a zero-sum game framework. One network generates candidates (generative) and the other evaluates them (discriminative).
At least it's really funny to play around with it, you should definitely check it out!
Hier eine kurze Erklärung, was GANs eigentlich sind:
Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN, zu deutsch etwa ‚erzeugende gegnerische Netzwerke‘) sind in der Informatik eine Gruppe von Algorithmen zu unüberwachtem Lernen. [GANs] bestehen aus zwei künstlichen neuronalen Netzwerken, die ein Nullsummenspiel durchführen. Eines davon erstellt Kandidaten (der Generator), das zweite neuronale Netzwerk bewertet die Kandidaten (der Diskriminator).
Zumindest ist es wirklich lustig, damit herumzuspielen. Ihr sollter euch die Seite unbedingt mal ansehen!

Thanks a lot for your kind feedback, Reinhard! I really love to share my findings about creating digital and generative art with my readers and it’s even more motivating, when they can pick up something for their own process.
I also noticed, that a lot of artists in the crypto-art sphere share their success by buying digital art from fellow artists and that got me into buying that small piece of you (which I really love). In return, I was asked to also put some of my works on MakersPlace by one of the founders. So everything seems to happen for a reason. Will keep you updated about my experiences on the platform and will certainly keep an eye on your magnificant works. Keep it up!
The sort of family that has formed here on steemit makes this place outstanding for me, despite all the complaining and criticism one hears in certain corners of this micro universe. There is great mutual support and many new ideas and success are shared.
My experience with Makersplace is absolutely positive although my sales are far from your impressive numbers. Definitely speaks for your work, which is really cool and cutting edge avant garde. I'm sitting here in awe, wondering how you did those.
I explored your links and just started experimenting. After a fierce battle with avira going crazy, so far it has only produced a file, which can neither be viewed nor deleted... super glitch, haha 😝

Thank you so much for your compliments on my art. This means a lot to me and I can only agree that Steemit (especially for artists) is a very supportive and constructive place. Maybe in the future I will write more detailed step-by-step instructions on how I did my work, but I don't want to take the magic out of them either.
I'm glad you started right away, and the thing with the file that can't be opened or displayed is really a cool glitch. Maybe you can delete it with a terminal command. In my first attempts with glitch art I had a similar effect until I came to the conclusion that it was better not to use compressed graphic files (like JPG) but to work with PNG or BMP.
I'm definitely looking forward to seeing any glitch works, you'll come up with. Glitch on!
Big glitch for sure... problem is, you can't show anyone. Found the bug by now... avira actually protected the file in the end.

Lässt einen echt nicht mehr los. Hab jetzt auch ein paar Möglichkeiten für Photoshop gefunden... auch wenn das vielleicht keine "glitches" im eigentlichen Sinn sind. Wie groß sind eigentlich die Bilder die Du auf Superrare anbietest? So wie man sie sieht oder im Original höher aufgelöst?
Hehe! Freut mich, dass dich der Glitch-Virus angesteckt hat :-) Photoshop Glitches sind so gut wie jeder andere auch.
Die Bilder, die ich hochlade, sind meistens hochauflösend. Wenn du auf einer Detailseite (zB. hier) auf das Bild klickst, dann siehst du die Originalgröße. Du kannst das Bild dort auch (zB. mit rechtem Mausklick) speichern und dir genauer anschauen. Einige Werke sind nicht ganz so hochauflösend gewesen, ich habe aber dem Käufer dann auf Anfrage (über twitter) eine höher aufgelöste Version für den Druck zur Verfügung gestellt.
Wow.. die Files sind echt riesig! Vielen Dank, für den Link. Hab meine bisher immer eher kleiner gehalten, weil ich dachte sie sind ohnehin nicht zum ausdrucken sondern zu einer rein digitalen Existenz gedacht. Aber in höherer Auflösung kann man natürlich auch viel mehr Detail sehen...
Ich versuche halt einen guten Kompromiss zwischen Dateigröße und Auflösung zu finden. Wenn man bedenkt, dass ein iPad Pro heutzutage bereits 2732 x 2048 Pixel besitzt, dann soll es dort auch möglichst gut aussehen. Dennoch haben meine Bilder nur 72 dpi, was für Print ja meistens zu wenig ist. Aber ich würde dann im Zweifel lieber eine separate Datei bereitstellen, als über 10 MB große Dateien hochzuladen. Meine Werke sind meistens so um die 5 MB groß.
Gute Vorgabe... stimmt, an die Auflösung vom ipad hab ich noch gar nicht gedacht. Für mich ist HD immer noch ganz schön viel.. Opa halt 😝
Weil ich sonst eher mit "richtigen" Drucken zu tun hab, sollte ich das eigentlich hinbekommen. Vielen Dank nochmal für all die Tips und Infos!
