Reflection on Peace

in #art7 years ago

Good Dear readers, Today I was in a workshop which aimed to address the situation of war and hardship at the global level. Here I leave a small reflection which I hope will make you think a little.

In an exercise of imagination today it occurred to me and probably to many people at some point, it would be good if all the presidents of the world think, agree to and comply with the commitment to destroy nuclear weapons, conventional weapons and to reduce to zero the budgets of each country in the field of defense. The number of millions of dollars in cost is astronomical according to different sources.

Calculate how many works could be done to reduce poverty in the world and especially cooperate with the poorest countries where hunger and infectious diseases are rampant everywhere. We would not see the Dante-esque spectacle of thousands of refugees dying drowned in the Mediterranean Sea.

There is no any logic that based on the purest human principles of any belief justifies the mountain of money, time, and talent used for intelligence, counterintelligence, and modernization of equipment for watching us and kill us among ourselves, being the human being the only one who planned mass murder a fellow human being.

Imagine a planet where world peace is not a utopia but a global conglomerate of human beings living without discriminarnos for any reason and states all by raising productivity, with more time for study, sport and the arts, making this point in the universe a place more livable. Our planet is small and life is short.

By the depletion of our globe there are threats certain higher levels of global warming, thawing of the polar ice caps and a peremptory period of time of sinking beneath the waters of multiple cities.

Stop time that tragedy, we are all members of the convensamonos life and that the only race is the human race.
