my comic: Android Blues 58 - 60
Next three pages of my comic, written and drawn by me,
Maddie is still pounding her way through the concrete ceiling, almost through...
...when Lisa spots something outside the window.

If you ask why I use the "photography" tag, it's because I think all artists should be able to use both "art" and "photography", since they are the 2 most viewed art-related tags. :)
Thanks for watching!
Source
Using irrelevant tags, especially popular tags, makes it hard to find good and relevant content. Please try to use only relevant tags when posting.
Artistic tags such as photography, art, graphic-art, photoshop, etc have specific uses. If you are posting material that you did not create a source is required.

The Game of Tags
If you can get photographers to stop using the art tag, or if another tag comes along that scores as highly in exposure but fits better, I will gladly comply. Until then the main use of these tags from my point of view, and pretty much every one else who posts, is to maximize the microscopic amount of exposure we're able to get.
Also note that I put the comics tag in front of the photography tag, so finding my content based on tags alone should be no problem: "art", "comics". "Teamaustralia" and "artzone" are likewise not very helpful in collation of my art, I'm sure you agree. In any case, the search engine here only takes 1 search term, so whatever I put after the first one should not matter for that particular use.
Also: I do use photography extensively in the production of my comic.
Also: I will try the tag "graphic-art" you suggested, let's see how much exposure that one gets.
The only other way I see forward is for Steemit to change, or for me to start using paid bots. I have been trying to avoid that, because it feels wrong somehow, almost like bribery.
Personally I'd agree that it's not productive to use the wrong tags and it could get you flagged. The way forward is to increase your following. A network of fans will gain you more than hoping to get a trending post. Good comments are one way to achieve that
In that case, in my opinion, people who post amateur vacation photos, food photos, and snapshots of friends and sunsets, taken with a modern high tech phone should stop using the "art" tag. Because it's the wrong tag for them. They should at least not put the art tag first, photography should be first. Yet when I search for "art" on Steemit, 7 or 8 or even 9 out of 10 are photos!
I've trained art basically almost every day of my life from when I was about 3 or 4, until now (58). I've tested all the styles, all the art forms, I've even been a photographer too. I even developed and enlarged my own films.
Yet, even with less followers than me, they get paid better.
Steemit is often not 'fair', but at least we can earn something. Tags are often misused and that can make them useless. Maybe communities will work better as I expect them to be moderated.
Yes, true.
Have considered using @steepshot (if you don't already) ?
I did once, it didn't seem to increase my exposure, but maybe I should try again
This comic is really action-packed. And the detail in the graphics are amazingly good! Excellent skills, @stahlberg! :-D
Thank you!
I like your style it reminds me of Heavy Metal.
Please tell me what happened to buddy !! I was waiting to see who was behind the soldier I hit! And what they will do with it !!!
Buddy will probably end up back in jail. I can't say for sure, but it's possible we may see him again some day. :)
hhh thank you stahlberg !!
At first I thought they were under water...:-/
haha sorry it's because I was too lazy to draw the city in the background... millions of windows... aggh!
No, it,s because I like diving :)
I wish resteeming gave you the ability to add a comment at the top of the post - I'd love to share this with an introduction - I'm so impressed !!!!! Bravo man super well done - also I agree regarding the use of the "art" tag to a degree - because photography is art - but snapshots void of artistic talent / composition or framing are not art - any who. I'll be sharing your most recent Post from the series - hope it gets more eyes on your stuff. All the best !!
That's an awesome sequence and the flying soldier is well designed! I also love that it stays in these dark green tones.
