She Sees – Trip Morris

This is an illustration of someone who has truly found their voice. Someone who’s very eyes also speak louder than the words they speak. Kind of how just eyes alone are like lips, they tell you everything you need to know as they are the very window of the soul.

I made this piece digital as a medium because It is less mess and more cost effective for me to buy paint. This took me.. a very very very very long time to complete as I took month long breaks in between. I go through a very stern and judgmental period of time before I release all my work. I have so many that I have never even completed or released.

The artwork I create is very psychedelic, schizophrenic, figurative, illusionary, and developed through various meditation induced trips that I’ve experienced. I find it very hard to categorize because I don’t really know which category they fit in, they are all created in these strangely distorted layers that very few people see. Your perception has to change to see the other sides of most of my work.

My work started as a bridge to communicate, I ended up in a meditative state that caused me to forget how to speak English. It felt as if a chunk of my brain is missing. I could not communicate verbally for a while. The art I created helped me recreate concepts I once thought to be unspeakable from the things I saw during these experiences.
