Watercolor landscape " winter and sun Акварельный пейзаж "Зима и солнце"
For the exhibition dedicated to our small town, I had to write watercolor works with beautiful views and attractions. I chose a winter story-a quiet corner on the outskirts of the city, an old two-storey house built immediately after the war, icicles, spring shadows and a path surrounded by birches:) photo Made a long time, but...as always held out until the last and wrote using photo, but remembering the mood:)
Для выставки, посвященной нашему небольшому городу, мне надо было написать пару акварельных работ с красивыми видами и достопримечательностями. Я выбрала зимний сюжет - тихий уголок на окраине города, старый двухэтажный домик построенный сразу после войны, сосульки, весенние тени и дорожка окруженная березами:) Фотографию сделала давно, но...как всегда дотянула до последнего и писала используя фото, но вспоминая то настроение:)
Some step-by-step photos of the process. Wrote watercolor on wet paper. Previously made a small sketch in color.
Несколько фото в процессе работы. Писала акварелью по увлажненной бумаге. Предварительно сделала маленький эскиз в цвете.

That does not look like a house after a war. It looks so peaceful and serene. I just couldn't find a door. Maybe the entrance is at the back. 😊
The mother-and-child effect make the painting more peaceful. They are a lovely sight enjoying time for themselves. I am wondering where they are headed to...

What a beautiful watercolor. It looks like a lovely winter day. I like mom with her child walking down the street. I can imagine that the child is asking many questions and she is trying to answer them as good as she can :)
I also like the building and I remember such birches from my childhood :)

Thank you for sharing this wonderful watercolor work, that reminds me the time when I was little we have had so much snow or may be because I was little and snow was reaching till my knees that is why I felt like in a fairy tale. Seeing now this little girl with her mother may be to school or may be just going for walk. Winter landscape is one of the favorite for artists, watercolor makes it easy to reflect snow because you can use the natural color of your paper. Like the birches they are very typical for Russian territory and you have painted them really good I like the white and black stripes of them. Enjoyed your composition, wonderful painting.
