TRAVELING #48: The world's most magnificent waterfalls worth living in
Business Insider selected 10 of the world's most breathtaking waterfalls, including the Ban Gioc Waterfall located between Vietnam and China.
Niagara Falls, between Canada and the United States: You can look at this majestic waterfall from the United States, but Canada gives a more spectacular view. About 51 meters high, this waterfall cluster has a strong flow, creating a beautiful rainbow. In winter, the freezing waterfall is no less splendid.
Ban Gioc Waterfall: This group of cascade falls into the Que Son River, with a height of 30 m. The white waterfall between the green space and majestic landscape creates picturesque. During the rainy season, the cascades are often larger and flowing more strongly.
Angel Falls, Venezuela: This is not only one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world, but also holds the highest record of the planet (979 m). The waterfall was named after American pilot Jimmie Angel, the first to fly over here. Located in Canaima National Park, the falls cascade down from Auyantepui Mountain, a prominent sandstone mountain on the jungle surrounding.
Yosemite Falls, California, USA: Located in the national park of the same name, Yosemite is North America's highest waterfall, falling from an altitude of 739 m, amidst a wild and majestic setting. Waterfalls are abundant and flow most strongly in the spring when the snow melts.
Kaieteur Falls, Guyana: This beautiful waterfall is located quite far away, deep in the Amazon. To get here, visitors have to walk for 3 days or use the plane. Kaieteur is 226 meters high, and flows into the Potaro River.
Plitvice Waterfall, Croatia: This waterfall is located in Plitvice Lake National Park, which consists of hundreds of large and small cascades as a magnificent symphony of nature. You can walk along the wooded pathway on the lake to see the white waterfalls down to the deep blue lake.
Sutherland Falls, New Zealand: Located in Milford Sound on the South Island of New Zealand, this 580-meter high waterfall spills out from a blue glacier, making it look like it's in fantasy films.
Gullfoss Falls, Iceland: This waterfall is one of Iceland's most popular destinations, located on the legendary Golden Circle. Gullfoss has no impressive height, but has two lines of 11m and 26m. Here, you will see the river Hvítá mysteriously disappeared into the cracks.
Victoria Falls, between Zimbabwe and Zambia: Victoria is the largest waterfall in the world, with a height of 108 m and a width of 1,708 m. The waterfall is so strong that visitors can hear the torrent of water from miles away.
Iguazu Falls, between Brazil and Argentina: The largest waterfall in the world, Iguazu stretches for 3,200 m along the river of the same name. The paths on both sides allow visitors to admire breathtaking scenery here.
