Original Art Photography Series by @velimir #76 'Night On The Road'
The name of this art photograph is: 'Night On The Road'
The overall atmosphere plays the main part in this photograph. Gloomy, almost scary confrontation of dark and bright areas create the momentum of uneasiness maybe even fear. One is easily dragged into the minimalistic style and only after a few seconds the feeling is present.
This, as you see, is almost black and white photograph. Even so, the colour is quite important. A breath of overall cyan and the two little yellow areas create an additional dimension without which the image wouldn't bear such power.
It is a semi-open composition - the left side and the bottom as well as a part of the right side, are closed by the dark parts while the top is opened by the light. The main element, the metal cap draws attention to itself. However, we are not sure what are the yellow areas next to it, nor why is the road cracked. It would be a perfect street-night lighting setup for a horror film.
Enjoy :)

For me a deserted road , shining with light is a very hypnotic picture. Like a trance. It creates a reflective mood. Scary , gloomy and reflective. Melancholic and beckoning . Love this photo. It has all these elements :)
Thank you. This is such deep thinking. Very true!
Most welcome @velimir . Your photo art is really good. And the text supports it :) . Thought provoking :)
Really tastefully done! Love the cyan shades that make the whole image seem deeper and kinda oily. I'm a big fan of minimalist photography and plays on light and shade, so this hits all the right buttons for me. :)
Very happy to hit your buttons. Guess what - I also love when the desired feeling is reached with at least as possible ;) Thank you!
Yay for button hitting! I just wrote a reply to this, but it seemed to crash the page! (So, if you get 2 replies you know why).
I've made a note to check out your motorcycle travel and art photography series. They look great. :)
Interesting depiction here. Love the black colour
