I take my own reference photos
Yes, I use reference photos for almost all of my drawings. Sometimes I find myself searching for the most bizarre images. Example: Western thief tied up like a hog. 🤣 I'm very stubborn and I'll continue to seek out an image until it resembles something that I have in mind. I still have yet to force a friend into a pose for me. I'm also not above asking others artists for advice.
I can close my eyes, visualize a shape and place a light source but I still have doubts which is why I will fall back on a reference. I'm at a loss with human anatomy so with continuous practice, I hope to get better. I have improve quite a bit in these last few months. I probably should get an anatomy book. I'll be sure to ask someone to gift me one since I'm terrible with purchasing things that I want/somewhat need. Fun fact- every year I ask for socks, preferably knee high or above since it's an obsession that I have.

I said this in my very first Steemit post and this statement still holds true. There is an ever growing flame inside which ignites from my daily inspirations. Sometimes my motivations can be a slow burn but time is still on my side and rushing things lead to disappointment.
I've included old reference photos below with links to previous posts I've made with finished sketches. I love being able to share my growth with this beautiful community. If you haven't seen them already then I hope you enjoy!

@m31, as long as you can visualize yourself reaching that goal then it is possible! Tell yourself everyday that it's possible and cut the excuses. :) Good luck to you!

Hahah, yeah. I'm easy to please and easily impressed which is why I tend to get really awesome sentimental gifts. Socks will always do. 👌🏼
