A completely faked picture made with Photoshop part 2
As promised here are some of the steps I took to create the faked red light district picture for a back wall in a souvenirshop in Amsterdam:
The final result was printed an vinyl wallpaper and mounted on the plywood backwall panels.
The size of the final print was real life.
The basic photo
Here I cut away the surroundings, straightened everything a bit and put some red lights behind the windows in a separate layer
Reposition the left window to the right, put some wall in between with a lantarn, some extra red lights and curtains. Behind the door I placed something for the lady to sit on and a little hall.
The right window needed some lights and curtain to as well as the basement...
Besides it needed a second seat because there are at least 2 ladies working here obviously...
The interior on the right had to change to make the whole scene a little more mysterious and because the contractor changed the size of the whole back wall, it suddenly needed another upper part as well. This was a pity because the whole scene had to be lower than it should have.
Finally I created some stairs in from because this would cover the counter that would come in front of the scene.
The final result: the stairs in front of the counter were changed a little to give it a nicer view from within the shop. Part of the entrance is also printed on the counter to give the feeling of depth.
grtz @vjbasil
