Jenny´s Art Contest #5. Theme: Strength
OK hope Im not too late:
The strength of curiosity. The Strength to stand out. The strength to overcome shyness.
I thought about my school days and how I used to be shy and hid away in a corner to be on my own
One day a girl came over to me with a toy car in her hand and asked me if I knew what type of car it was?
We ended up playing together for the rest of the day.
I guess she was curious about why I was on my own.
This later taught me that there is a strength in having a curiosity.
Being curious can over come fear.
The next day I was being laughed at by a bunch of children because I did not know how to fasten my shoe laces. Suddenly a girl with curly hair came over and silenced the group telling then that there was a time they too had not know how to fasten their shoelaces.
The group left us alone and then she patiently showed me how to tie my shoe laces.
I was so impressed with this girl and wondered if I would ever be as courageous to stand out as this confident girl had done.
It reminded me of something my grandmother once told me.
"A rose is strong for two reasons. First because of its beauty. Second because of its thorns"
The color scheme I hope helps to capture the meaning.

@arthuradamson
Hi @arthuradamson hope things are doing perfect. I was thinking about you that how do you manage your time to make this creativity happen on daily basis.....?
Regarding your entry: You wrote a tremendous Article regarding children. This is very important topic for every parents. Now a days most of the people has ruined their kids by misusing technology (Specially Gadgets - smartphones, tabs, video games etc)
So I must say you tried your level best to get the message towards common people. This is very good effort. All the best my good friend.
By the way from my side you're the winner!
You make good points my friend. I never thought about that.
Technology and gadgets do not help our children be better more sociable and caring human-beings
Stay Blessed my friend
Exactly, this is the main point. Children should not be allowed any type of gadget before the age of 14 (Steve jobs)
Thanks for your submission. This was a very interesting take on the topic of strength, I know you had worked with a few ideas all week and I like that you took it like this. Very unique indeed. Thanks for also giving some insight to what it means, although the Art does do that as well. Well done.
Like I said, it was not as easy as I first thought. I did not want to go for the obvious I guess. I was more interested in finding a more deeper meaning, that way I push myself to finding something more original and therefore satisfy myself for creatively. That then gives its own reward. Thanks for the positive feedback : )
Really it's beautiful! Also it's a nice post. hope you win @arthuradamson
Hey thanx, appreciate the support : )
You have captured these beautifully.
hey thanks @deerjay - I just now had to update the post because somehow the explanation behind the image had vanished. I had to write it out again.
Well, this bought some tears to my eyes as it is very similar to my own experiences. I am glad you were able to update.I saw myself in the art being the shy one but the words take it to a another level. Thank you arthuradamson!
Thanx @deejay
Strange how our childhood school days stay with us for life.
The strength of the integrity of the two girls who came to my rescue saved me from having a negative memory by transforming a negative experience into a positive one.
Something I will always be grateful for : )
It's really beautiful.
hey thanks man - this scratchy style is one I developed a while ago but am trying it out again by scanning in the drawing and coloring and experimenting with colour in photoshop
no problem man, please look at my blog :)

Nice post
Thanx @anandjadhao
Very nice post, the situations you describe bring back some almost forgotten memories. I like your approach and that you are not referring to physical strength and instead bring it to a higher level!
Thanks Reinhard - have a great Sunday to you !
