Just Another Day Well Spent
Hey Guys
Hope you all had a fantastic start of the year and enjoying the first weekend.
My year started with a sweet and short road trip to one of the beaches in South India, which was kinda fun other than the humidity. ❤️
Even though I have mixed feelings about New Year's resolutions I couldn't resist myself from making one- to paint often at least 2 days a week- at least!!!! And I already suck at it..haha 🤣
Nevertheless, I started this artwork last weekend and spoiled it before finishing it. And it was a huge disappointment. I just gave up.

But yesterday just felt like giving it another try and even though it's not exactly how I imagined, I am glad about the result.
I think my new year resolution should be to not give up so quickly!
Never give up, and be confident in what you do. There may be tough times, but the difficulties which you face will make you more determined to achieve your objectives and to win against all the odds.

Howdy itravelarts! I'm sorry I missed a couple of your posts, I don't normally check my feed anymore so when I don't see the posts and don't see your name anywhere I get occupied by commenting and such but I will try to do better, that's my New Year's resolution to you! lol.
Haven't some of the most famous paintings in history been mistakes that the artist's thought about just pitching, throwing away? I think this one is pretty cool.
I like the quote at the end, it's so true, almost anything can be accomplished if a person doesn't give up!

I have been kind of absent from steemit and thats the reason for not in communication with anyone, the fault is all mine.. but I like your resolution.

Howdy there itravelarts! I missed seeing you around that's for sure, and your great posts as often, why have you been absent, just working?
New Year's here was nothing. I mean we didn't do anything. Mrs. J has been working 12 hour third shifts and even though she didn't have to work that day she was tired and went to bed early and I just worked on steemit.
What did you guys do to celebrate? Alot of people here go crazy, almost everyone parties and drinks big time. I live out in the country and people shoot off alot of fireworks and shoot their guns too! lol. It sounded like a war zone.
Steemit is going well but I spend way too much time on it so if the price of Steem doesn't go up soon then I'll probably start working on other things.
office lately has been a bit hectic, and then a month went with being unwell- but better and fully recovered now, so just took some time off from here but trying my best to keep posting and reading. I miss reading so much and having conversations with talented people here, it was a learning process for me. Hopefully, soon i will be able to give more time. Glad to see you posting and sharing things.. I saw my voting power has gone down too.. don't know if its just me or with everyone else too.
I am not so big on new years plans too, but we had few days off so went to a nearby coastal area- just now wrote a post about it. It was kind of nice as we got to spend our days in two towns with such diversity regarding culture, and lifestyle.
War zone-- haha! i like how you describe it...it does look so..I prefer having my wine and enjoying with my loved ones, or just go on a mountain and enjoy the place. No fireworks or partying loud.
do you have plans to work on anything? would love to know more about it...

Howdy there itravelarts! It's so nice to be able to catch up with you and find out how you are doing. Glad to hear your health is back and work must be good, it sounds like you have job security there.
I so agree with not doing the silly partying for New Year's, people are idiots! lol.
At the moment I'm just working on steemit and hoping the price goes back up but I don't know how long I'll be here full time at least unless the price goes up. All of us full timers may be wasting our time! The much wiser approach is to work on it part time like you are. I'm going over to your post now.
What made you giving up before @itravelarts? Because the girl didn't have similar happy eyes? But Thanks for not giving up 👍💪 you made her more nice to see with the dark back ground, is she hurt or something?

I've felt that way before too lol. You make a mistake, feel kinda worthless, give up, but then you have this funny gut feeling of "maybe I should give it one last try" and boom! You're back on track.
Needless to say, your work turned out absolutely beautiful :D
Haha.. That's me !! I am working on it though, at least I don't throw away my work which gives me another chance to think over and rework on it..:)
How are things going on for you? I guess you joined college and guitar classes.. Is that what keeps you busy?

Pretty much haha. I'm trying to be more social these days. Yk, develop an active social circle. It's different than what I'm used to, but I didn't expect it to feel so good.
