Weeds as defined are plants growing out of place. As such they really need to be controlled effectively and timely too so that they do not compete with crops for nutrients, water, and sunlight. If not controlled, they will contribute in reducing the expected crop yields in the farm. Therefore, its control in the planting process is non-negotiable and should always be timely, so cultivators should take note.

Weeds are more efficient than plants to use water ressources and then are diminishing available water for the crop.
Well weeds will always compete with plants for water, nutrients and light as such affect crop performance. Therefore our farms need to be weed free for optimum yields to be attained, thanks @askanything.

Quite interesting...... it is really a great asset and should thus not be taken for granted.
It is quite real and true@seadbeady...... plenty of weeds in our farms will great contribute to lows yields. First evidence will be yellowing of plant's leaves ie nutrient deficiency
