A look at Rishi Sunak's prospects

There is an air of deja vu at the moment as the press talk about Sunak's "guaranteed" defeat. It mirrors the chatter in the summer of 2022, when the polls indicated Liz Truss would inflict a "crushing", "landslide" defeat on Sunak.

As it happened, her victory was much narrower than predicted. And after some unexpected twists and turns, Sunak became Prime Minister anyway. Here is his chart:

There is something fated about the way Sunak became PM, and fate in a chart is usually signified by the North Node.

Rishi's North Node is at 25 Leo. When he became PM on 24th Oct 2022, transiting Pluto was at 26 Capricorn, and was making a sextile to transiting Neptune at 23 Pisces. Both tr Pluto and tr Neptune were making quincunxes to Sunak's North Node. They were forming a Yod (also known as the Finger of God) with Sunak's North Node at the apex.

What is of interest is that this Yod will repeat itself in Oct 2024, with tr Pluto at 29 Capricorn and tr Neptune at 27 Pisces.
