Are We In The Age Of Aquarius
EVERY GENERATION THINKS THEY'RE SO SPECIAL
It's become all too common of a practice to dismiss younger generations for being full of themselves as compared to your own. True, technically - astrologically - folks being born today are actually a little more full of it thanks to that Leo energy grounding us in the matrix that is our existence - but who's getting caught up in those details?
LET ME BE FRANK - YES, WE ARE IN A NEW WAVE OF ENERGY, BUT THERE'S NOTHING NEW ABOUT IT.
In fact, it's quite old. We've just been very much asleep for a long, long time.
And no, not everyone born after a certain date is a New Age, New Wave, Indigo Child and everyone prior to that point an old hag with world views that need to just die off already. Nothing is that black and white.
We're in a grey area at the moment - a transition.
For the most part, younger generations today, as I write this, will grow up into a world that they will shape with "new age" ideals. Away from just-blend-in and toward just-be-yourself mentalities, away from religion and toward spirituality, away from blindly following the masses and toward raw expressions of selfhood.
THERE WILL BE PLENTY OF PROBLEMS MOVING FORWARD, TOO.
Just because we're moving into this "new" - though not very new at all - energy, doesn't mean things will suddenly be peachy keen. Just different. One thing this shift, this transition, is pushing us all to come to grips with is how we celebrate our differences.
The archetype of Aquarius, the energy of this "new" - though very much not new (I'll get to that) - age, is one of finding a balance between uniqueness and connectedness. Discovering how the infinite intricacies that separate us all can come together in a sort of intelligent design. It's scientific. It celebrated the modalities we all shift through and asks us to accept one another for those modalities.
BUT NONE OF THAT IS VERY NEW AT ALL.
We've been through awakenings of the self before.
We've been through collective ascensions before,
And part of what makes this so frustrating of a shift for some folks is we know deep down that we all can shift through into more open minded patterns of thinking, but some of us have karmic lessons to learn still in old paradigm patterns of thinking, and seeing the collective shift toward something new sparks a feeling of abandonment.
When the whole isn't vibing with what you're laying down anymore, you become defensive. You cling even harder to structured belief, tradition, societal rules that have helped you on your journey for so long, and you know there must still be something someone else can gain from what has served you.
INTEGRATION, UNDERSTANDING, AND COOPERATION WILL MAKE THIS SHIFT EASIER ON US ALL.
We need to realize that some of these "new age" concepts are quite obvious, universal, and not very new at all, but we also need to realize that no one is coming for old paradigm beliefs.
It's just a shift. It's just a phase from one stage to another. No one is wrong, no one is right, it's just natural, as it is natural to feel a divide and to compartmentalize for us in our human nature.
