I would say this is more that driver issue my dear @bescouted. You see, when a company makes drivers, however complicated they are, testing must be a part of a process. Since they want to maximize profits, they have to test it with the most common OS in use — which Windows 7 still is. And when they put up unworkable drivers leaving their customers without a clue, it can be qualified anywhere between gross negligence and pure insolence.

Kev333 put this solution 4 moths ago, and M-Audio still doesn't have any note at their drivers page, as you can see.

Damn, I've just looked it up and found out that Windows 7 is still really widely used. They might still make up the 30% of all windows installed in the machines. This is crazy I thought they total up to Max 5% or less. In this case it is really negligence.

Designers of the Win8, 8.1 and 10 should be jailed :)
