Follow Me to The Castle in Austria - Schloss in Österreich, kommt mit!

Hey guys, I decided to visit a castle in Reith bei Kitzbühel in Austria. It should not be only a visit I also wanted to sleep in it. My arrival time was round about 16:00 o clock next to the castle and at the beginning I wanted to observe the castle from the outside before entering the building. Nowadays the "Castle Münichau" is used as a hotel and as a restaurant. However, the special thing about the castle is that the owners grew up in the castle and are still living in the castle. I was able to get to know one of the owners of the castele, her name is Miss Harisch and she told me a few background stories about her castle. To this day nobody knows when the castle was built.

The confusing history of caslte Münichau and its owners begins in the 15th century. Our Earth 500 years ago, how was it? I think for us hardly conceivable today. At this time Wilhelm von Münichawe lived as a Bavarian official and district judge, this man probably built the castle as it stands today. Unfortunately, the original document mentioning the castle for the first time has been lost. And by the way, I did not know that at that time Kitzbühel belonged to Bavaria. At the beginning of the 16th century, Ritter Gilt von Münichau was the lord of the castle of Münichau. The knight was married three times and his third wife handed over the castle to her son-in-law "Onophrius von Freiberg" after the death of her husband. The castle was then passed on to "Bankrupt" and "Christoph Georg von Freiberg", but the two showed just little interest in the castle. The family property was sold on July 8, 1538 completely to Knight Matthew Lang and his brothers. The family died and the castle had changed so many owners. Today, the Harisch family is responsible for the chateau exterior. Frau Harisch told me personally that her grandfather and her father had lovingly restored everything in the castle itself. The castle developed into a cozy hotel and is still well visited.

She grew up in the castle and she loves to live in the castle til today. She cant imagine to live in an apartment or in an usual house. She even told me some jokes of her childhood. She said to me that she was asking kids in the kindergarren in which castle the kids are living, til she figured out that she was the only kid that was living in a castle :P :P Pretty lovely story <3

Hallo Ihr Lieben! So die Reise geht diesmal wie schon im vorherigen Post versprochen in das Schlösschen Münichau in Reith bei Kitzbühel zu unseren Österreichischen Nachbarn. Ich wollte das Schloss nicht nur besuchen, sondern darin auch schlafen. Meine Ankunft war gegen 16:00 Uhr nachmittags und bevor es hineingeht wollte ich mir das Schlossäussere erstmal anschauen. Heute ist das Schloss Münichau als Hotel und Restaurant bekannt. Das wir nicht immer so, das besondere am Schloss ist, dass die Schlossbesitzer im Schloss aufgewachsen sind und bis heute selber noch darin leben. Es gelang mir mit der Schlossherrin zu sprechen, ihr Name ist Frau Harisch und über sie erfuhr ich einiges über den geschichtlichen Schlosshintergrund. Bis heute weiss niemand wann das Schloss genau erbaut wurde.

Die etwas verwirrende Geschichte des Schlosses Münichau und ihrer Besitzer beginnt im 15. Jahrhundert. Die Welt vor 500 Jahren,wie war sie wohl damals? Ich denke für uns heute kaum noch vorstellbar. Zu dieser Zeit lebte Wilhelm von Münichawe als bayerischer Amtspfleger und Landrichter, dieser Herr baute wohl das Schloss wie es heute noch steht. Leider ist die Originalurkunde, in der das Schloss das erste mal erwähnt wurde verloren gegangen. Ach ja ich wusste gar nicht, dass Kitzbühel damals noch zu Bayern gehörte. Anfang des 16. Jahrhunderts war Ritter Gilt von Münichau der Schlossherr von Münichau. Der Ritter war dreimal verheiratet und seine dritte Frau übergab nach dem Tod Ihres Mannes das Schloss ihrem Schwiegersohn Onophrius von Freiberg. Das Schloss wurde danach an Bankrotts und Christoph Georg von Freiberg vererbt, jedoch zeigten die beiden wenig Interesse am Schloss. Der Familienbesitz wurde am 08. Juli 1538 komplett an Ritter Matthäus Lang und seinen Brüder verkauft. Die Familie verstarb und das Schloss hatte so einige Besitzer gewechselt. Für das Schlossäussere von heute ist die Familie Harisch verantwortlich. Frau Harisch erzählte mir persönlich, das ihr Grossvater und Vater alles im Schloss selber liebevoll restauriert hätten. Das Schloss entwickelte sich zu einem gemütlichen Hotel und ist bis heute gut besucht.

Sie selber ist im Schloss aufgewachsen und liebt das Leben darin bis heute sehr. Die Vorstellung in einer Wohnung / Haus zu wohnen kommt für sie nicht in Frage. Einige lustige Geschichten erfuhr ich auch aus der Kindheit von Frau Harisch, denn sie erzählte mir, dass sie im Kindergarten andere Kinder gefragt hätte in welchem Schloss diese wohnen :P :P süsse Erzählung <3

Am Anfang brach ich auf, um ein wenig zu wandern und um einige Bilder von der Landschaft zu schiessen. Schaut man ins Tal so ist das Schlösschen auf der linken Seite zwischen den ganzen Holzhäuschen im Tal zu erkennen :)
