AUTOMATION IN WORKPLACE

Today my topic is about how ICT ( Information and Communication Technologies) effects our @Workplace. Many Computer Scientists believe since the Industrial age that the automation of workplace will leave end to human work . But now , we see that except in few areas, work automation has increased employment in large numbers. Many new Technologies entered in modern era , but the computer technology is increasing at a very amazing speed. Before the electronic age , the offices include notepads, typewriters, large cabinets filled with manila folders, the rotary telephone, and rotary fans. But with the electronic office Electronic notepads, automatic answering systems, office intercoms, copiers, and fax machines have moved in .Living plants and air-conditioning have become standard.

Office job descriptions at all levels and in all professions are being transformed to incorporate computer and telecommunication skills. Increasing productivity of employees and handling the ever increasing complexity are fueling the growth of electronic office. With the late Most developments in telecommunication and computer technology, the virtual workplace is home to an increasing type of employees who work very briefly in their corporate workplaces, are mostly on the road, and often telecommute using personal or company-provided equipment. But the disadvantage is that many employees are not met face to face and so there found lack of community spirit and collegiality. Many artist , craftsman and writer are able to work at home because of the automation of workplace. So, I come to a conclusion that automation plays a vital role in development as well as increasing the employment except few areas.
