Blue bird
Eastern bluebird, is a bird that lives from a wide region to the east of North America and Bermuda to Honduras and Nicaragua, in open wooded areas, plantations and orchards.
It measures on average 18 cm in length. The adult male is bright blue in the upper part, wings and tail, while his throat and chest are reddish brown. The adult female has light blue wings and tail, chestnut neck and chest and bluish gray crown. The belly of all adults is white
Approximately two thirds of their diet comes from human action, mainly crops and the rest are wild fruits and insects such as grasshoppers, crickets and beetles, spiders, centipedes, earthworms and snails
It reproduces in the north twice a year, in the south of the country three times. The female builds a nest in a tree or a simple cavity. It lays three to seven blue eggs, which are incubated for 12 to 14 days. Both parents feed the chicks for 14 to 20 days.
