Bangkok - one of my favorite railway stations

When we first found our way to the famous train market in meklong, we started at the Wongwianyai railway station. And even this old little trainstation is an attraction on its own. Early in the morning you can find people selling breakfast, typical thai breakfast of course....fried rice, fried buns with fancy filling, spicy yam gai salad and much more. You can see people with their hand-carts and you suddelnly think you are back to an aera maybe 20 years ago. Hardly ever some foreigners come there...actually more now, as you can find this place as secret gems on some travel blogs - huh. All people are friendly, smiling and you notice the thai way of life. The smells are exhilarating and so are all the impressions you get there.

At the end of the day, this little old railway station was maybe the highlight of the adventure....and we love to come back there from time to time. Especially with friends from Austria to show them a very different face of Bangkok.
