Dylan Roberts was elected Saturday to fill the seat of retiring Rep. Diane Mitsch Bush, D-Steamboat Springs, whose resignation will be effective starting Nov. 2.

A native Coloradan, Roberts was born and raised in Routt County and returned after college and law school to live and work in Eagle County, where he serves as the deputy district attorney.

“I am humbled by this responsibility and look forward to serving the people of Eagle County and Routt County as their state representative,” Rep.-elect Roberts said in a statement released by the Colorado House Democrats.

“House District 26 is comprised of the county where I grew up as well as the county where I live now. It will be a tremendous honor to serve this district in Denver.”
