@mannacurrency is now a Minnow 🎈🎈

We are elated to announce that @mannacurrency reached Minnow status.

Earlier today, our account passed the 500 Steem Power level.

We want to thank all those who support this project with their delegation and upvotes. Our intention is to become a part of this community. We see a lot of parallels between Steem and Manna. People are suffering and both currencies can help them.

Our intention with the @mannacurrency account is three-fold.

• First, we are going to continue to grow the account by powering up to "invest" more into the Steemit blockchain. Our interest in this is long-term so we seek to do our part to help things grow.

• The second reason is use the value that comes from the appreciation of Steem to be part of the asset class that backs Manna. We are going to diversify into a number of different areas to hedge some of the risk while also putting ourselves in a position to benefit when certain assets appreciate. Steem is one that we are very high on because we see so much long-term potential.

• Our final reason is because this account is a conduit to our community members on Steemit. We have a lot of people embracing our project here. Over time, we feel that number will continue to grow as word of our work spreads and the number of people on Steemit increases. Both sites are seeing the user base expand at a rapid pace. Mutual benefit can be derived in our view. Keeping the lines of communication open with our Steemians is paramount to us.

So as to be candid with the community, and transparent in our actions, we arrived the 500 SP by receiving payouts for being a content creator and purchasing some Steem. We were able to put together funds to get just under 230 Steem that was transferred to the account, then powered up.

While some might not view the investment as great, for a non-profit that is obligated to keep close tabs on all expenditures, it was significant first step. As resources allow, we are going to continue to invest in the Steemit blockchain. We are aware that such a move, no matter how large or small, helps the entire ecosystem.

Once again, thank you to all who have supported us on here. We hope to reward you, not only through out actions on Steemit, but what we do on a daily basis to make Manna a complete success.
