Student arrested with Alia's student attack 4

The arrested are Md. Masud Alam alias Masud (25), Md. Rakibul Hasan alias Rakib (26), Md. Ali Hossain Sheikh alias Ali (28) and Abu Saeed Fazle Rabbi alias Rafi (20).

Additional Commissioner of Detective Police Devdas Bhattacharya said that they were arrested from different places in Dhaka on Sunday.

He told bdnews24.com, none of them were students of Dhaka University. Two of them were found looting from the VC's residence on that night.

Detective Officer Devdas told the students of Masud Dhaka Aliya Madrasa that the remaining three are not studying.

Police blocked the road blockade in Shahbagh on Apr 9 demanding reform of the government service. The police dispersed them at night. After that, the protesters rushed to the campus and chased them with the police.

In the meantime, a group of masked people attacked the VC on Sunday and vandalized it. The next day, Senior Security Officer SM Kamrul Ahsan filed the case with Shahbagh Police Station. Several cases were filed on behalf of the police in connection with the attack-vandalism.

The students led by anti-quota movements were in a panic over the accusation of unidentified accused in the case.

The convener of the student rights conservation council, Hasan Ali Mamun, convenor of these four arrests expressed satisfaction.
