In the land of the kindest and most hospitable people,

YES, I am in CAMIGUIN ❤️❤️❤️

There are only 2 airlines landing in their cute airport. We took Philippine Airlines from Cebu to this beautiful Island which has only 40mins travelling time.

Right upon arrival, a jeepney included to our package is already at the waiting area.

We stayed in PABUALAN COTTAGES which has a very cheap staycation+land tours pacakages. You can visit their website at PABUALANCOTTAGES/CAMIGUIN.COM

Sir Teddy is very welcoming. The place is so cozy, and is complete with your basic needs. You can even use their kitchen.

This was also our guide if we do wanna tour around the island by ourselves. Anyways they really do have a cute color coding over their transporations. If you are wanna go WEST BOUND take GREEN MOTORELLA

If you wanna go EAST BOUND take ORANGE MOTORELLA

These stand by motorellas are just in the market of Mambajao.

If you get hungry while in Mambajao, you can take a LUTONG BAHAY meals in our Suki.

Located just right across the Mambajao Market.

DAY 1

Camiguin Island "BORN OF FIRE" has approximately 238 sq km total land area.

Yes, known as an island *Born of Fire as here stands the MT. HIBOK-HIBOK still considered as an active Volcano by PhilVocs.

In this view, I stand from the known beautiful WHITE ISLAND

The Island is in Barangay Yumbing, Camiguin. Btw our staycation is just 5mins walking distance to the White Island boat port.

The boat to the island is P450 good for 6 people and an environmental fee of P50. In the Island you can rent an Umbrella for P150 and P50 for the mat.

You can stay at the Island for as long as you want but of course be armed with a Sunscreen Lotion.

Next is the SODA WATER POOL

The place is known SODA POOL because of its unique taste. There is a station to taste and drink the water, just try it, its safe.

There will be an entrance fee of P50 per head.

The TONGATOC COVE

Its is just the beautiful view of the Island cliff.

The WALKWAY TO THE CROSS

Im not a fan of hiking and its really going to take time. But its definitely a stopover point. Here is where some promise thier devotions during Holy Week.
They say Camiguin has lots of visitors during Holy Week because of the Walkway to the Stations of the Cross.

The GUI-OB CHURCH RUINS

The eruption last 1871 destroyed the Gui-ob Church.
Mt Hibok-Hibok Volcanos last volcanic eruption was way back 1948-1951.

These ruins were made of sea corals years and years ago.

The CENTENNIAL TREE

For a Centennial Love ( charrroot maamsh ❤️ )

There will be a very cheap environmental fee of P10.
You give a tip to the tour guide in any amount you want.

Outside the church is Manang Lanzones.
The most reason why I wanted to visit Camiguin. They sell cheap Lanzones than those that are sold in Cebu. HAHAHA of course they grow their own Lanzones. Straight from the tree Lanzones are just P40 per kilo.

The FAMOUS SUNKEN CEMENTERY


This was also affected by the eruption of Mt. Hibok-hibok last 1871.
This is free of charge unless you wanna go near to the Old Cross via boating for P100.
You can really appreciate their Black Sands. Its like a glimmering black gown dressing the Island. They do have a mirror factory made out of sands in the island. Their sands really sparkles like stars in the galaxy.

The TUASAN FALLS


The falls water is really strong till in the tip, you can enjoy the very cold water from it.

There will be an environmental fee of P50 per head.

The STO NINO COLD SPRING



Have fun with the cutest fish kisses.

Environmental fees of P50 only.

You can have lunch at the area for P70 for the cottage and there is no corkage fee while enjoying the cold Sto Nino Spring.

The ARDENT HOT SPRING



The best way to end the day is a nice dip at their Hot Springs.
They have atleast 4 pools of hot water springs and now working on a new one. An environmental fee of P50 only.

I would advice to take the trip in group. We had a Jeepney rented for 8 hours for 1500 only. An additional P150 per exceeding hours. You can save a lot in the Jeepney and boat expenses if you travel in group. The driver will just take you to your destinations.

DAY 2

On our 2nd day, we decided not to take a package tour. We wanted to try commute around Camiguin.
We wanted to visit the SEAFOOD LAGOON.Where you can catch fish for your own meals.

We took a Jeepney labelled BENONI PORT 30-an hour travelling time.

And here we are!

And they do really have a very good food. Its budget friendly that serves 3-4 persons per order. I can say their food is really worth every peny. They serve fast as well by the way and they are very attentive.

In the lagoon you can try activities such Zipline, Kayaking and Paddleboat but were not available during that time coz it is only available during Fridays to Sundays.

We arrived at the lagoon around 11:30 and went home at around 4pm.

This was our first outside Cebu travel though Ive already travelled a lot myself. And he wanted - supported me to blog this travel.
