Risking Police Lives For Petty Crimes....

in #beer5 years ago

The Spokane News Site reported an officer sustaining an injury while arresting some guys drinking beer.

If you believe there is a virus so deadly the entire population WA is being asked to Stay Inside. Why would you risk our police officers in such a reckless manner?

Not only was the Officer injured, but he was potentially also exposed to a deadly virus in response to a small gathering of people drinking beer.

When you consider that our jails just released a bunch of convicted criminals, how does this make any sense?

Perhaps our Officers should only respond to dangerous or violent crimes during the lockdown.

Hey, @whatsup.

So, how are things up your way? I keep being told that Washington is opening up, but it sounds like you're not there yet. I thought I was keeping decent tabs on the situation, since you all, along with California and a couple of other nearby states are all supposed to be in some kind of reopening pact with Oregon.

And as far as I can tell, aside from letting people have surgery again, we're not that close to opening up a whole lot, other than some parks and recreational areas that were never officially closed by the governor, but were left to the discretion of the agency heads that run them.

Inslee talked about opening with the other states. However, now he seems to be enjoying the control factor.

King Inslee is certainly loving his power trip. I will be in Olympia helping people figure out how to re-open on their own. I've been liberating play structures, etc myself since I don't have a business to open up. I will support anyone who does though.

Welcome to the Nanny state of upside down world.

Imo the officer should not have been dispatched to a private gathering. If people want to take a risk on non-public property, that's on them.

Rule by force is the disease, who and how are symptoms.

Perhaps our Officers should only respond to dangerous or violent crimes during the lockdown.

And perhaps they should use better judgement (discretion) while on patrol and 'ignore' insane directives given by their retarded "superiors" by way of their 'retarded' Mayor...??? That might help us all... :>)

Yeah, and I just checked the man arrested has already been released back into the community, due to overcrowding at the jail.

Speaking of this, I think your wit and sarcasm would be helpful for this challenge I'm working on. Someone almost called the cops re: the situation, but didn't. optional engagement request
