Blue Moon Summer Honey Wheat

For those that are unaware Blue Moon is actually owned by Coors and is brewed in Golden Colorado. So I found it fitting to use my Coors glass that I got on my tour of the Brewery in Golden last time I visited Colorado.

Slightly sweet clover honey taste with a hint of citrus.

Originally called the Honey Blonde Ale when first brewed in 1995, it took an extended summer break in 1999. Reappearing in 2006 in time to win a Gold Medal at the Great American Beer Festival® with the name Blue Moon Honeymoon in the Specialty Honey Lager or Ale Category. Then in 2010, it became known as Blue Moon® Summer Honey Wheat Ale.

This quality beer made in the traditional way is the result of a production process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859.

This bottom fermented beer has a golden color, which is a result of the type of malt used in brewing.
