#37 - BEER SATURDAY | LA COMUNE CRAFT BEER - BUFFALO SOLDIER
Hello everybody,
Today it's #BeerSaturday by @detlev!
This is my entry, thanks for the opportunity.
For this #BeerSaturday I'd love to introduce you a STRONG beer, powerfull, thaught, like a Buffalo.
The Buffalo Soldier is the fourth beer by La Comune Craft Beer and its name is taken obviously from the omonymous Bob Marley song (as you might have noticed, we are not only beer lovers, we are BEERaggae lovers).
Let's get into it!
- BUFFALO SOLDIER -
Belgian Dark Strong Ale
[original recipe by Alessio Duca ( @alessioblc ) & Manuel Moccero - La Comune Craft Beer's Founders and Brewmasters]
Style | Belgian Dark Strong Ale |
---|---|
Country | Italy |
Brewery | Birra La Comune |
Alcohol | 7,5° |
Color | Dark Ruby |
Belgian style dark strong ale beer with a dark ruby color. With its 7.5 degrees it releases liquorice notes associated with hints of toasted and smoked. structured and well balanced. The mono hopping has been chosen to enhance all the characteristics of the malts, to give those who drink it a feeling of warmth that makes this beer lovable but complex.
Hops | Challenger |
---|---|
Malts | Maris Otter, Barley Flakes, Biscuit, Arome, Smoked |
IBU | 36 |
Specials | Moscovado Sugar |
As you've read, this beer has a special ingredient, which is Moscovado Sugar.
This particular sugar is one of the most raw sugars that you can find, it has a sandy consistency and it gives this beer hints of honey and liquorice.

Nice post, I think it's contest #27, not 37 :-)
Thank you very much!!! :D
Yes you're right, this week is the #27!
#37 is a personal count, but you make me think right now that it could be misleading, so I think I'll be putting this number from now on inside the post and not on the main title!
Thank you for your feedback!!! :D
Have a great sunday!

I love your review style. I really need to learn how to incorporate tables into my beer reviews. It looks so much better.
I also love a strong ale. This beer looks amazing.
I tried a strong ale that had 10% alcohol the other day. It almost knocked me out.
Thank you very much!!! :D
Let's see if I can be usefull!
I found this post by @minion in which you can find how to insert tables in your posts and much more:
Professional Tutorial for Post Formatting, both for Beginners and Advanced users.
I agree with you regarding the strong ale: this beer has 7.5° and when you start to see the bottom of the glass, this little buffalo has already passed over you with all the hooves. But the taste is worth it! LOL
Thank you again!
Have a great sunday!
