Black Lives Matter OR All Lives Matter

in #beliefs8 years ago (edited)

Anytime someone says Black Lives Matter, there is always a person who goes with-All Lives Matter. Now to me the answer to this Dilemma is pretty easy and that is yes, Black Lives Matter. If you say All Lives Matter, even if you meant it in the best way, makes you a little ignorant I feel.

See Black Lives Matter supporters don't mean to say that Only Black Lives Matter but is simply shedding light on the unfair treatment that is faced by the people African Americans and anytime one say that All Lives Matter, he or she is being disrespectful. It's just like women trying to raise awareness for breast cancer and then guys go like-why just breast cancer and not testicular cancer because all cancers should be treated equally. It's a movement to spread awareness of the Oppressed people. Now some people do misuse it and I in no way condone any violence or riots but I do believe that people do have to start understanding and accepting that racism exists and African Americans do experience it in their daily lives.

Now there would be a guy who is going to comment that African American commit more crimes statistically and if you check the facts and figures, it is true but the reason I say someone like that is being ignorant is because they are generalizing. It's just like saying all Christians are KKK members because all KKK members are Christians. The same applies to Islamophobic people too.

Judge a person on his deeds and not his color,race or religion because every religion in some way says that we should love everyone like they are our own,even sinners.So to all my religious friends, I just want you to be good at practicing your religion and  spread love and to all the atheist and agnostic, I really hope we are logical enough to realise it by ourselves.

You are tired of hearing about it, Guess how it feels to live it everday-Jon Stewart

That problem - black or all - is just an misunderstanding of the intention between the people.
As you said, BLM activists are pointing out the oppression. But someone who does not know is - and this is something you need to be told very precisely - will say "huh? All lives matter".
Because saying BLM without the special content IS like saying BLM more. Because of that ALM is not disrespectful, it's disrespectful to say it's disrespectful (if the person does not know the background), because the ALM is more universal and understandable without context.
The Golden Rule applies to all, and not especially to blacks. Same principle.

Well I agree with a lot of what you said but the biggest problem I see when talking to some of my friends and people is that they deny existence of racism or unfair treatment even after showing them all facts and figures and that's why i feel some of them are being ignorant

All lives matter - including blacks lives.
People are aware by now what is means and it can be taken in a number of ways;

  • Blacks Lives Matter < -- addressing a problem that is targeting black lives with a specific narrative (police)
  • OR it is only focusing on specific black lives and rejecting others lives because we've seen many examples of;
  • hatred towards non-blacks from blacks, black on black crime that goes ignored because it ruins the narrative for BLM which is only police killing blacks or white crime on black.
    And people are ignorant, cherry picking facts or outright are using this movement to vent their rage because no body talks about the highest statistics that are taking black lives and that is black on black crime and black abortions.

FYI: I'm not American, I'm apolitical. I've talked with black conservatives and looked at statistics and polls, and I've seen BLM and democrat blacks go after black conservatives and be threatening, violent and hateful towards them by calling them "coon", "oreo" and "uncle tom".
this BLM is funding by rich democrat George Soros and it looks like he wants a race war in America by paying for BLM provocateurs to go to Charleston and smash up the place. The police reported those rounded up had out of state Ids.
I have looked into the words of Malcolm X and Tupac. I see their warnings of the democrats keeping the black community down, on welfare and make empty promises to them in order to get their votes and to turn them against each other and other races.
I really do sympathize, they are being taken advantage of, they are greatly disadvantaged, the system is responsible, but YES BUT, they are being used as pawns for the rich white people's agenda. And the best that blacks could do is not fight with whites, but join forces and turn their blame where it belongs - on the democrats who keep them on their plantation.

Democrats were opposed to end slavery. The people who created the KKK were democrats. Like I mentioned before, Soros is a democrat. The Clintons are also racist democrats. Obama has done nothing for the black community in all his years in office rather than help fuel the race war baiting.
This is sick. It is racist. I will gladly support BLM when they realize they are being used. And stop turning on people who do want to help them, not make empty promises in exchange for their votes.

I recently saw a collection of blacks with whites and latinos marching with them telling people not to vote for Hillary, they at least get it. It is "2016" [excuse my borrowing that "its the current year" simpletion excuse] and the democrats have done nothing for the black community. Hillary looks up to and admired the longest serving democrat member of the KKK Robert Byrd, and also Margaret Sanger who looked down upon minorities and planned parenthood was meant to cull the black community. Of course shills online will claim it as false like "snopes". Given the wikileaks exposed them as liars, who knows what the truth is anymore.
