How to Turn a Phone into a Projector: The Definitive Guide

It is easy to know how to turn a phone into a projector. You can do it yourself or can even ask your children to make this projector; it will be fun as well as some creative task for your children. Items Required:-
You have to place all the following listed items in your toolbox before you start the project as it should not happen that you roam around for things while making the projector.

  1. Knife/cutter

  2. Shoe box

  3. Black highlighter/pen

  4. Paperclips

  5. Magnifying glasses

  6. Adhesive tape
    You will maximize require half an hour to complete this projector.
    Following are the steps how to turn your phone into projector:-

  7. Make the hole:-
    Take and place the magnifying glass and make the hole at the shoe box which is short with the help of pen or pencil.

  8. Crop the hole:-
    The next step is just to crop out the hole made by the magnifying glass with the help of the knife or cutter. Be very alert and do this task properly without hurting yourself.
    Additional work:-You can also make a small hole at the backside of the shoe box for the charging cord of your phone so that you don’t have to take out your phone when you are using the projector.

  9. Fix the magnifying glass:-
    You can fix the magnifying glass either from the inside or outside of the shoe box. Fix the magnifying glasses accurately with the help of the adhesive tape so that there is no chance of passing a single ray of light through the box.

  10. Put the magnifying glass and the phone in one line:-
    Just place the magnifying glass and the phone in such a manner that the screen of your phone is positioned in the middle of magnifying glasses. With the highlighter pen make two lines from this point till the back portion of the shoe box. It is the exact location where you will place your phone inside the shoe box.

  11. Put the interior phone part of the shoe box:-
    Now you have to put the phone in the place which is marked by the highlighter pen. It is your wish whether you want to put the phone on the stand or not. If you don’t have the stand, then you can prepare one stand with the help of building blocks.

  12. Stop the rotation:-
    We are sure you remember from your school studies that, there is flip in the light when the light is passed through the lens, which depicts that the picture delivered will be just opposite. If you think that this issue will be solved by flipping, then don’t try it as due to this step the image will turn back to its primary orientation.
    This issue can be resolved for the android users if they download the app called, Ultimate Rotation Control application. The IOS users have to do the following;-
    Settings-General- accessibility-(switch on) Assistive Touch.
    Once you do the settings mentioned above you will view the “white orb,” just click on the white orb and turn device- rotate the screen.

  13. Start to project:-
    Your projector is ready, so start projecting the images from the phone. If in case your projector is delivering upside down images then you have to flip it, and then the projector will start projecting the correct form of images.
    Tips to improve the quality of the picture delivered:-
    After making the projector and viewing the images, if you think that there should be improvements in the picture quality then you can follow the below-listed steps:-

  14. Switch off all the lights in the room.

  15. Turn your phone’s brightness to the maximum limit.

  16. Cover the inside portion of the shoe box with black colored tape.
