Couple of thoughts on US Open today, Seprember 2, 2016
I consider myself to be a "specialist" in women's game. At least I follow women's matches more often than men's which is a wrong thing to do probably, but anyone who trades knows perfectly well that it is a women's game that brings some incredible, screaming hot opportunities. Whoever laid Serena Williams successfully in the recent past (lets say Olympics) are all doing quite well now I would imagine. Laying at low 1.0x is of course almost always a lost bet yet interestingly enough these massive favorites get smashed in the world of sports almost daily. Needless to say it is women's game that is quite abundant with those 1.0x bets too. Those are mostly in-play bets though and I am not talking gubbing opportunities here, there may be some later today, we will see and learn.
My picks today are far from hunting for surprises. In tennis I am normally looking for simple unders games but there are two matches that I believe should go the distance today: Bondarenko vs Sevastova and Tsurenko vs Cibulkova. Over 21.5 and Over 20.5 correspondingly. While first pick is quite straightforward, the second one isn't that obvious. Most will see a straight sets victory for Cibu however you cannot dismiss her potential for messing things up. She has played a LOT of three setters already this year (one against Rodina couple of days ago) and although she is most likely to win in the end I can see Tsurenko doing quite well on her serve for quite some time.
For match outcome winners Keys and Konta are great choice but those are no value for most I suspect with Keys almost in 1.1 territory. Konta at around 1.66 might be interesting though.
I understand everyone would prefer to learn something about satanic freemasonic jews coding some "jack sock will upset marin cilic", which by the way, in the English Reduction system equals 112, but there's nothing really at the moment apart from that (or I just didnt look good enough). My hunch is Del Potro's run should be under close examination though after you see something like this in MSM: "But at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, the No. 141-ranked player was a revelation, scalding No. 1 Novak Djokovic in the first round and taking it all the way to the gold-medal final". Revelation being the keyword. Too bad I didnt pay attention to that match... Although I wouldn't recommend touching it, overs in Del Potro vs Ferrer seems to be reasonable to me. DEl Potro shouldn't be 1.3 either, but hey, what do you know about REVELATION.
I am out to nibble a little from the above picks, good luck everyone.
