When Jesus teaches us how to pray, He includes a section on praying for our daily bread. It’s both simple and profound at the same time.

Our Dependence

By reminding us to pray for our daily bread, Jesus reminds us that we are ultimately dependent on God for all things. It’s easy to feel like some things are automatic, our health, our food, our jobs….until you lose them.
Every day is a gift….so is every meal.

The Bread of Life

Sadly, it’s almost trite to say, “depend on Jesus every day.” But it’s true….man does not live on bread alone. Prayer and time with Him isn’t just a good thing to do….it’s essential!
Don’t take it for granted!
