Clarification about biblical HELL

KJV is a bad translation and confuses christians about "hell":

Example of Luke 16:23:
-KJV: And in HELL he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
-ASV: And in HADES he lifted up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
-YLT: and in the HADES having lifted up his eyes, being in torments, he doth see Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom,

Example of Matthew 10:28:
-KJV: And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in HELL.
-Philips: Never be afraid of those who can kill the body but are powerless to kill the soul! Far better to stand in awe of the one who has the power to destroy body and soul in the FIRES of destruction!
-YLT: And be not afraid of those killing the body, and are not able to kill the soul, but fear rather Him who is able both soul and body to destroy in GEHENNA.

Gehenna is a fire to destroy the wicked after final judgement:

Sheol (hebrew) and hades (greek) means the same thing, an undergound place where the wicked wait for judgement:

Tartarus is a special place in hades reserved for the fallen angels:

The wicked suffer in hell for all eternity. You can't blame it on the KJV. All reputable Bible translations say basically the same thing. Like this:

(Luke 16:23-24 NIV) In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. {24} So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'

(Revelation 14:11 NIV) And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name."

The Lake of Fire is referred to as the second death but it should be obvious that they will suffer eternally as well.

It's the work of the cults to deceive people into thinking that you'll just die in hell rather than suffer eternally. It's meant to lead people to keep on sinning and reject Christ because they think they won't spend eternity in hell.

Luke 16:23-24 refers to Hades, the waiting place before judgment.

Rev 14:11 means the memorial smoke coming from Gehenna after the wicked have been destroyed.
Otherwise it's not a "second death" and it's not consistent with Matthew 10:28

Even the worst tyran is not cruel enough to torture people forever.
