The new Bot on the block | @bid.bot | Promising a positive ROI

If you use steemit then you have heard of bots before. They are all over the show. Some love them and some hate them. For me, I was always a bit skeptical about it all when it comes to bidbots. Now there is a system in place that promises a profitable ROI? I have to check this out!

So many bots always promise a profitable ROI, but for me, it is not always about the ROI but instead the content the bot is upvoting.

To give you a simple example:

A well thought out post with great pictures and quality writing, let's say anything above 1000 words would do. That can be boosted and promoted a bit to gain some extra exposure and followers.

A simple post with only a few words and a stock picture or a low-quality picture of your uncle's cat is just, meh. NOT worth upvoting it to $100's of dollars.

To bidbot or not to bidbot...

Bidbot's have always been a little bit on the iffy side since you are technically bidding for upvotes and you do not always get back what you pay. Yes sometimes you strike it lucky and you get great returns, other times you might not be as lucky and lose out on your investment. The other thing is that you always have to sit around and wait to get a good bid in, all about opportunity. I simply just don't have the time.

What makes @bid.bot different?

@bid.bot is trying to change that with their new system that promises a profitable ROI. They are trying their best with their site to always give you a profitable upvote if you use their service. They use algorithms and a close eye on the bidbot market to make sure when the opportunity comes that your upvote will be a good return on investment. They will also proxy your upvotes to other bidbots to ensure you get the most upvote for your buck! This is indeed a really nifty feature.

I was a bit skeptical at first, but I can't resist testing new steemit related features. Especially something as interesting as @bid.bot.

I used it on one of my posts and was quite surprised by the results. I do have to do some further testing but so far I must say I am quite impressed and might be using it a bit more to get some extra exposure and ROI on my posts.

How does it work?

The standard bidbot normally requires you to send some SBD/STEEM to their account with your link in the memo. After a certain time when their account reaches 100% Voting Power then the bot will dish out upvotes according to all the bids placed.

@bid.bot goes for a different approach and instead will make last-minute bids when and if they see a potentially profitable upvote. This saves you so much time since you no longer have to monitor bots with sits like steembottracker. That for me was the game changer.

When you use their website https://bidbot.me you can log in with steemconnect, add some credits to your account and then get upvotes to your awesome posts with an easy copy and paste. Quite similar to the old way of using bidbots.

Now, however, according to your campaign you can set how long you are willing to wait and what kind of profit you are aiming for. I had mine set for the most possible profit and even though it states you can wait up to 3 days to get your upvote, I got my upvote pretty fast, way less than 12 hours. I doubt we will ever have to wait that long since there are so many bidbots around that are being tracked all the time. Since they upvote every few hours there are bound to be a nice profitable upvote somewhere. Not only will you get upvotes from the initial bidbot but you will also receive upvotes from the @bid.bot account. Nice right?

Other features

@bid.bot will also come with some nifty features like a flag system where if you feel a post has earned too much, you could get it flagged by a certain amount. This will have limits of course, to avoid abuse. An interesting feature and I would like to see how it plays out when more people start using it later on.

Magic?

@bid.bot offers magic credits to people who use their services (1 Magic = 1SBD)

You can earn magic via delagation or using their services within the website. This is a nice incentive to use their site since you will get some Magic that you can use to send more upvotes to your posts. I have yet to earn some magic but am curious to see how it all works.

Worth it?

For now, YES. We have all experimented with bidbots at one or other stage and now seeing a system in place that can help you time your upvotes and get a better ROI on each bid. I call that a win. I will be testing the site a bit more and write another post in a week or two.

Curious to see how it all plays out after using it for a few posts. This could be a possible game changer.

For people using bidbots. They are awesome in the sense that they can give you extra rewards, BUT they should not be abused the way that they are at the moment. We are seeing so many low-quality posts with massive payouts. Not cool. Use them responsibly and not purely for shitposting and gains. If you truly believe your post is worth more than you are currently earning from your followers if you spent hours typing it all out and getting those perfect pictures.
