“The median age at inauguration of incoming U.S. presidents is 55 years. The youngest person to become U.S. president was Theodore Roosevelt, who, at age 42, succeeded to the office after the assassination of William McKinley. The oldest person inaugurated president was Joe Biden, at age 78.”

– Wikipedia, “List of presidents of the United States by age”

Joe Biden, born on November 20, 1942, is now 81½ years old.

Think of your grandfathers when they were in their eighties (if they lived that long). Can you imagine either of them – or any of your grandfathers’ contemporaries – governing our country at such an advanced age? Even if you like Biden’s policies since he was elected prez, how likely is Joe to be mentally, as well as physically, up-to-the-job in his mid-80s?

Joe Biden’s father died at age 86. Will Joe live that long? If he is re-elected, how likely is he to survive until the end of his second four-year term? And if he doesn’t live to complete a second term, how sanguine are you about the prospects for our country with Kamala Harris taking Joe’s place in the Oval Office?
