Binance recent downtime gave some room to scammers impersonating Binance compensation department
Binance exchange platform hasn't been active for several hours and this created some room for speculators and FUD(check out McAffee's tweet) to spread rumors about Binance being hacked.
Binance has been very active through their official twitter page and their CEO twitter account updating its follower about the maintenance progress.
It seems that with every Binance tweet update there have been several scam replies from twitter accounts which look similar to Binance(but not related with it), asking people to send a small amount of ETH to their ETH address and as in return they will compensate them for the downtime 1 ETH.
This is a tweet reply example of how these scammers work.
