The Lacey Report #11 "New Organ being Declared "
Researchers may be declaring a new organ in the human body that resembles a web like tissue on the underside of the skin, which was also found around the digestive tract, bladder, lungs, and within muscles. It is speculated that the tissue may in fact be shock absorbent, and allows our other organs to swell and compress as we go about our day. The team lead by Gastroenteritis David Carr Locke of Weill Cornell Medicine as well Pathologist Neil Theise of NYU Langone Health; explain why this tissue has been missed for so long. The standard Methods used to slice and test tissues, results in the collapse of the fluid filed chambers. However, Drs. Carr Lock, Theise and their colleagues used a new imaging technique called, "Probe based Confocal Laser Endomicroscopy (pCLE); using this method they were able to asses a bile duct and discovered a reticular pattern around the tissue they examined.
The team confirmed the discovery by surgically removing and flash freezing a sample; this allowed the team to see the mesh like layer and as they now new what they were looking for, they were able to fined the watery chambers. Evidence was found that cancer cells could get into the Inerstitium and could spread around the body, which will prove useful in cancer treatment research. At this point in time before the interstitium can be declared a new organ, other research teams will have to confirm Locke, Theise, and their colleagues findings.
That's all for this report.
