This is a hell of an article. The complexity of proteins (and most of biology, to be honest) always leaves me feeling amazed that life is possible at all. I mean, I thought my car engine was complicated, but just look at this stuff!
I wish I had the time to read and absorb it all. But I'm grateful for metaphors like this:
To make this relatable, think of calculating the type, size, angle and moment to throw a sheet of paper at the wind so it folds itself into a crane.
