My friend the Momotus aequatorialis
If you asked me what you missed about Colombia, I would surely tell my family, but of course I miss them.
Si me preguntaran que has extrañado de Colombia, de seguro les diria a mi familia, pero claro que los extraño.
But there is a friend that I miss a lot, he is the Momotus. It gave me so much joy when we arrived at our farm and it was there, in the trees of Ricinus communis, as if waiting for us.
Pero hay un amigo al que extraño mucho, él es el Momotus. Me dio tanta alegría cuando llegamos a nuestra finca y estaba allí, en los árboles de Ricinus communis, como esperándonos.
It was the first bird that reported when we crossed the door.
Fue la primera ave que reportamos cuando cruzamos la puerta
