Kingfisher fishing near the Danube near Linz

There is a spot near Linz that I visit several times a year and take pictures of birds. There is a smaller creek that flows into the danube and this is a perfect spot for birdphotography. The Kingfishers use it to hunt for smaller fish and some other birds like to breed at the smaler creek where the water level is more stable than on the danube. Because there is a water power plant nearby the waterlevel is controlled by the power plant.

Kingfishers are some of the more beautiful birds and I really enjoy taking pictures of them eventhough it can be a bit tricky. But If you know some of their fishing spots it can be easier.
