Northern Rough-winged Swallow resting on busy sea wall
This cute little swallow was catching bugs over the beach/ocean when it decided to take a break on the busy sea wall. I haven't had much luck capturing this type of swallow, so this is the best I've got so far :)
Even though there were a lot of pedestrians and cyclist using the sea wall, this little guy was not intimidated :) I went down the granite stairs to the beach, hoping to catch a swallow while resting in one of the drainage pipes below the sea wall, but I was only able to capture a short video of this swallow resting on the sea wall.
This video was capture on the north side of Stanley Park in Vancouver BC, Canada.
Thanks for watching!
Omg! How did you catch this bird? I mean there are unstoppable!
They are very high-energy indeed @ratel :) Most of the time they take a rest in the opening of the drainage pipes that flow underneath the sea wall; it's a very safe place for them to take a break. Of course when you want to catch them where they normally are, they're not there ;)
Otherwise they'll perch up in the trees that line the sea wall, but it's a bit too high for a good shot :)
Thanks for the comment and the support :)
