Imagine a world of logistics wherein the tasks currently manned and controlled by humans are taken over by robots. Sounds more or less like a futuristic movie trailer, doesn’t it? Think of a scenario where drones transport the cargo with minimal supervision. SKYFchain makes this dream into a reality.

This exciting journey started with the manufacture of the first cargo drone called SKYF. SKYF is the world’s first industrial heavy cargo drone and the first cargo drone with the capability of vertical take-off and landing. SKYFChain will be the first tool which will integrate these drones into the logistics industries, thus trying to make it unmanned. Now, doesn’t that sound exciting?

What this converts to, is that we get to save upto 50% of costs in logistics because that usually comprises of labor. 50%! This would also have a definite impact on the efficiency of the process. The introduction of this project itself sounds very promising.

What is SKYFchain?

SKYFchain is the first B2R (Business-to-Robots) blockchain based operating platform. This private blockchain system provides independent, secure data-exchange and payment channels for total support of robot-centric logistics.

The main aim of SKYFchain OP is to integrate information for all market participants and organize the execution of smart-contracts for transactions. These transactions may vary in value and frequency. The platform will collect commissions from each transaction. This will be paid using the SKYTtokens.

SKYFChain is also a financial tool which allows transactions to be carried out on the platform through the use of cryptocurrency. It offers individuals and institutions such as banks, comprehensive data and substantive control over the assets through use of smart contracts.

SKYF Drone:

In the logistics market, various applications and tasks require a payload of 50-250 kilos, with vertical take-off and landing. Some tasks also need to have low-speed movements and hovering features.

The current commercially available solutions do not satisfy all these demands.

The SKYF drone addresses these issues. Below are some of the advantages and specifications of the drone:

  • It doesn’t require a runway.

  • Available at a reasonable cost.

  • Can carry a useful load of upto 400 kg and payload of upto 250 kg. Maximum take-off weight is 650 kg.

  • Has a flight range up to 350 km and can fly for upto 8 hours.

  • It has a maximum flight speed of 70 km/hr.

  • It can fly upto a maximum height of 3,000 meters and has a positional accuracy of 30 cms.

  • Reliable and simplicity in operation.

  • It can operate on a wide range of weather conditions and at any time of the day.

The drone is predicted to have a major impact on a wide range of industries. The SKYFchain project, if implemented successfully will permanently change the logistics market. For more information visit SKYFchain Website.
