Scams and ponzies or free money?
Since getting into crypto ive heard the term ponzie or scam thrown around alot. There are plenty of people sayimg dont do this or invest in that because it will fail. I just feel like throwing my 2cents in the pot.
"A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment operation where the operator generates returns for older investors through revenue paid by new investors, rather than from legitimate business activities or profit of financial trading."
The idea with a pyramid or ponzie is it needs more and more investors to continue to pay. It is also promises short term high returns with "investment strategies" that are usually undisclosed. Much like a few well known crypto platforms promisimg high returns using "bots" to trade investments.
Now here comes the gamechanger...the internet.
Just like the internet changed so many industries its also changed how we reach people. It is now easier them ever to reach millions in just a few clicks. This means ponzie or pyramids can grow faster, sustain longer and payout even more them ever before. Most have built in referall programs and how to tutorials on how to build up your investors.
Social media allows all its users to promote and recruit members to its team. Imagine if old charles had this at his disposal!
So what does this all mean? Well it means a few things. People involved with these so called "schemes" some are getting very very rich. Some think that they will collapse and they will lose it all. There is no set lifespan on a scheme or ponzie it either implodes due to payimg out more then taking in or gets shut down.
I can tell you this there is very little chance of these gettimg shut down atleast not the big ones. There is no one complaining who uses these services, if annything they are preaching how much they are making!
So my advice is always do your research before investimg in anything, but the higher the risk the higher the reward right? Have fun and make that crypto!
