EOS Platform Updates & Useful Links To Keep Up To Date

The EOS mainnet will take some days to complete. The network needs a list of the strongest block producers that can secure the main network and prevent it from getting any attacks. So far there are 8 strongest reliable candidates, listed below:

EOS Vibes

The list above are the strongest block producers so far but the list could change as there are hundreds of block producers around the world competing to make the list of 21 to be voted on and eventually to secure the network.

What is Block Producer？

Block Producers determine the stability of the entire ecosystem of EOS. The implementation of DPOS algorithm requires 21 Block Producers and 100 spare Block Producers.

Block Producer is mainly responsible for following transactions:

• Collect transactions in the network;
• Validate the transaction and package the transaction into the block;
• Broadcast blocks to other Block Producers, adding blocks to their local blockchain after verification.

There are four phases to the launch and below is the sequence it will follow:

LAUNCH SEQUENCE:

The ERC-20 token Snapshot is verified by EOS Mainnet Launch Group (EMLG), as well as third parties. Block Producers within the EMLG initiate the Boot process.

TESTING:

EMLG and third parties will need some time to verify that the tokens have been loaded according to the snapshot file and that the software performs well. This stage will continue for 48 hours and repeat in the event that a major bug is found.

ENABLE:

The Block Producer community will release a joint statement once it is safe to import private keys and vote. Voting begins.

ACTIVATION:

Once 15% of votes have been staked, appointed Block Producers will be immediately replaced by elected Block Producers and we can declare the EOS Mainnet active.
