ArtByte release update on SegWit implementation
()
ArtByte released a detailed update on its SegWit implementation
Summary of article:
"As ArtByte announced on June 10th, we are implementing SegWit on the ArtByte blockchain.
Our developers have been hard at work, and now ArtByte 0.13, including SegWit is successfully running on the test net.
Upgrading ArtByte to 0.13 gives ArtByte many advantages, including:
-Faster synchronization
-Dynamic transaction fees
-Priority transactions
-Hierarchical Deterministic Key Generation
-BIP65 Enforce OP_CHECKLOCKTIMEVERIFY opcode
-BIP68 Enforce sequence locks for relative locktime
-BIP112 Enforce OP_CHECKSEQUENCEVERIFY
-BIP113 Locktime enforcement soft fork
-BIP130 Direct headers announcement
-BIP152 Compact Block support
SegWit will add the following advantages to ArtByte:![SegWit.jpg]
-Elimination of unwanted transaction malleability
-Capacity increase
-Weighting data based on how it affects node performance
-Signature covers value
-Linear scaling of sighash operations
-Increased security for multisig
-More efficient almost-full-node security
-Script versioning
-And more.."

Yeah it seems your SegWit really works. CoinMarketCap shows really exceptional trade volumes and ABY' price is about twice as high comparing to this weekend.
ArtByte SegWit Update
On the ArtByte testnet SegWit/CSV is now locked in, we've finished the activation period.
Now we are in the "grace period" (just like the two week period that Bitcoin is entering today). This period allows users to upgrade their software to support the new style of transactions. On the testnet this period will finish in 310 blocks.
Once this final test period completes, the mainnet roll out is scheduled.
Detailed discussion
On the ArtByte testnet the SegWit and CSV soft forks have been activated using BIP9, this allows us to make soft fork changes using version bits which allows miners to signal that they are ready to accept new rules by setting bits in the block header, this is technically a MASF (Miner Activated Soft Fork). Over 2,016 blocks the required 75% of blocks were mined with version bits for both soft forks. Now that we have successfully been through the activation period we are now locked in and await SegWit and CSV to be enforced in 310 blocks time. Once activated final tests will be performed and then mainnet roll out scheduled.
