I was concerned that the G20 summit would be a very testing time for crypto and Bitcoin especially, but the fear Governments have of missing the technology boat is making some countries in the G20 show their hand, meaning there is NO unilateral consensus. G

Germany announces acceptance of Bitcoin as legal tender and a purchase transaction completed with a crypto is not subject to tax.

"The Germans were forced into the Euro under pressure from France, that had a Veto vote on the unification of east and west Germany."

In exchange for participation in the Euro they would vote yes.

The German mark was the strongest legal tender, simply because they printed less then other countries did, so it had de lowest inflation.

Simply This is INCREDIBLE news from Germany regarding their new crypto taxation laws!

  • Converting crypto to fiat is VAT free
  • Mining is VAT free
  • in game currencies are not equal to fiat
  • exchanges are not always VAT free
  • Cryptocurrencies are equal to fiat if they are used as payment and both sides agreed.

"This basically opens up the path to crypto being used as legal tender in Germany. This is a very positive development coming from one of the world's superpowers, and hopefully paves the way for other countries to follow with equally progressive legislation."

Starbucks does not accept Bitcoin payments yet, but for Bitcoin users who want to buy coffee with BTC and get a special discount of up to 20%, they can use an app called foldapp.com! Not only for the purchase of coffee at Starbucks alone, this application will later be able to use the bitcoiners to spend on Target and Whole Foods with Bitcoin. In this way, Bitcoin can be easier to use in everyday life.

I am really happy to hear that. My biggest problem right now is that it doesn't really seem like the goverments are even sure how to handle the situation. I guess they just don't want to miss out.

I think EU will be possitive with crypto. We will see some minot FUD and etc, but then we will see a healthy regulation and acceptence of crypto. Look at all counties that are good with crypto: https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@cryptohumster/germany-legalizes-bitcoin-what-is-the-current-status-in-other-countries
