It really comes down to people are just to stupid and don't know how to invest their own money. There are also scams of which many fall for with regulations etc it should reduce these but not eliminate but at least then you have some power to go after those people who just scammed millions or hack millions out of the system. Without that it would just be the wild west of bad people stealing everyones money.
