bitcoin will cost $55 thousand by 2022

Tom Lee, financial strategist at Fundstrat, published his forecast for Bitcoin for 2022. In his opinion, the value of the asset will be 55 thousand dollars.

Lee, an expert on market assets and stocks, made his prediction, relying on factors such as resource limitations and market stabilization.

He is not the first to hold bullish sentiments about the value of crypto-active. Earlier, Ronnie Moas, a well-known stock exchange player and financial strategist, also suggested a sharp rise in bitcoin prices in the near future.

Lee believes that one of the main driving factors that provoke bitcoin growth is the decline in demand for gold. In the meantime, as the economic situation continues to arouse fear among many investors, tools such as bitcoin become an attractive means of preserving value, coming to replace gold and silver.

The asset deficit (due to the fact that in the world there can be no more than 21 million bitcoins) and the decentralized nature of the currency, contribute to the perception of this class of assets as a safe haven during times of economic instability.

"In other words, the Crypto currency has a significant growth potential.”

Lee admits that bitcoin still demonstrates significant volatility, which at annual rates is about 75%, but indicates that gold showed the same volatility between 1970 and 1980, after the United States abandoned the gold standard.
