Wirex will restore the work of crypto-currency cards after the incident with WaveCrest

The online banking platform Wirex plans in the near future to restore the serviceability of its services after the termination of the service of prepaid debit crypto-currency cards by the issuer WaveCrest. This is stated in the official statement of the company.

Representatives of Wirex stressed that the sanctions imposed by Visa Europe had an equal impact on all service providers working with WaveCrest. However, all online banking customers Wirex were warned in advance about this malfunction in the operation of the cards.

"We expected such a development of the event, and in the summer we began to integrate with another European partner. Now we are at the final stage of integration, as a result of which we will get alternative issuers in four regions: Europe, Japan, Singapore and the USA. Soon we will restore the efficiency of all our services. Currently, our clients have access to a crypto-currency purse, "said Pavel Matveev, co-founder of Wirex crypto bank.

Let me remind you that last week, representatives of Visa Europe ceased cooperation with the Wibratary payment platform WaveCrest "because of the continuing non-compliance with the rules of the work." As a result, all Visa cards in WaveCrest stopped working.
