Warren Buffett ve Charlie Munger ile birlikte CNBC’nin Squawk Box programına katılan Gates, kendisinin kripto paraya sahip olmadığını ancak daha önce doğum günü hediyesi olarak Bitcoin aldığı söyledi.

Attended to CNBC's Squawk Box program with Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger, Gates said he did not have the cryptocurrency, but Bitcoin had previously purchased as his birthday present.
"Somebody gave me a few bitcoins on my birthday. I decided to sell it in a few years, " said Gates," Bitcoin is one of the crazy speculative stuff and I wanted to stop it if there was an easy way. "
Gates stated that they didn't have the core values of cryptocurrency, and that they saw their future as dark:
"As an asset class, you can not expect it to rise when you do not produce anything. Cryptocurrencies are part of a bigger nonsense theory, " he said.
Bitcoin, which has increased its value from $ 1,000 to $ 19,000 last year, is trading at $ 9,000 this week.
