Buying without an ID, As it should

in #bitcoin7 years ago

Hi I am new to Steem and I already like it!

Many of you are looking for easy ways to buy bitcoin and maby I have an interesting site for you to do that without an ID.

With Bit4coin you don't need to create an account in order to buy amounts of bitcoins starting from €25. Just fill out the form and pay. You will receive an e-mail with an acknowledgement of your order and later a SMS on your phone wich you can redeem at any point of time later, you are in control, and that is what we want.

Cons:
but there are some cons. I bought an amount of bitcoins for €25 and the first transaction worked like a charm. However, 3 days ago I did also a transaction and until this day I have not received anything. This might be caused by the fact that the company has an ABN AMBRO bankaccount. When you will transfer money to ABN AMBRO it wil be received into the account on a workingday what might cause some trouble if you want to invest or buy something urgent. Because it is also now, Whitsun I must wait (hopefully) another day to receive my bitcoins, lucky me.

Probs:
Because you dont need an ID you have a much safer feeling. For example, I make a Coinbase account but after some simple registration I must make a photo of myself and my ID and must sent it to a complete stranger. The problem is: who will get control over these documents? And what are the consequences if the tax industry wil get a grip on your document in a bank like Coinbase. A second great benefit of bit4coin is you dont have to redeem it immediately, you can keep it as a voucher what is cool if you want to give someone a gift or something. It is also a simple way to start with bitcoin in my opinion, you dont need to create an account where you also must do a photoshoot with your ID. What is only based on one thing, control.

Dicussion:
I think the best way to protect your bitcoins (and your personal information) is to use these kind of sites to buy, and use bitcoin as your own personal bank. If you create an account on coinbase for example you must pay taxes and your personal documents will be used not only for verifying your acount. But! What if you do not create an account and keep the coins in your own wallet and pay things with it, or maby stash it for your retirement? I dont need to transfer it to dollars, because I think it is a lose race for banks and goverments: people want to own their own money and I can buy almost antyhing in my country with bitcoin. So my advice do not sign up with a bank but use sites like localbitcoins to prevent problems for bitcoin and yourself in the future with pirates like the tax industry.

This was my first post on STEEM:), I am curious what you think about converting bitcoin and what will be the roll of STEEM in the future. I love it.

STEEMY regards,

Celsius
