I actually find the daily trading volume as more important indicator than marketcap, as the volume shows which coins are "hot" and being used vice being stored offline/cold. Marketcap only shows the store of value part of the equation for a currency, where volume shows or signals some of the medium of exchange and unit of account aspects. In this respect USDT is number one :) as it regularly has volume that equals is market cap.
This explains why Lunar new year wrecks the market so much!!!!! Too many holiday withdrawals!! HODL!!!!!!!!!!!!
